Hosea 6:1:

Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

Notes on Hosea 6:1:

Far from proving that the Lord beats up some saints while healing others, this verse shows that when you return to the Lord, He will heal you.  As in many places in the Bible, forgiveness and healing go hand in hand.  The “smiting” was due to sin.  God was simply honoring His promises in the “curse of the Law” to allow all kinds of problems and diseases to come upon the people if they would not listen to His voice.
