This book was written to help you receive healing through faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for you.
First Things First
But first, even more important than the healing Jesus provides is the forgiveness of sins that is only available through Him. No one is good enough to go to heaven based on merit. Some people live better than others, but you don’t go to heaven because you’re better than someone else. You only go to heaven if you’ve made Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and then rose from the dead, the Lord of your life. That means surrendering your entire life to Jesus and His will for you. On the one hand, it costs you nothing, because you don’t have to pay for God’s gift of forgiveness that Jesus already paid for. On the other hand, it costs you everything because you have to yield control of your entire life to Jesus. You lose the right to call your own shots and be your own lord.
Something wonderful happens when you do that. You lose the “sin nature” you’ve dealt with all your life and you receive a new nature – one that loves God and doesn’t want to sin. You LITERALLY become a new person on the inside. Jesus called this being “born of the Spirit” – “born again.” If you’ve never done this, it is the most important and most life-changing decision you will ever make. Not only does it allow you to go to heaven instead of hell (where all unforgiven people go, no matter how “good” they are), but it opens the door to a totally new life far better than anything you’ve ever experienced. It doesn’t mean that you won’t have any problems, but you will have better answers!
I can tell you from decades of walking with Him that His plan for your life is far better and more satisfying than anything you could come up with yourself. He has only your good in mind, and He can run your life better than you can.
In my high school and college days, I was a militant atheist and occult fan who tried to talk Christians out of their faith. In college, I’d gotten to the point where I cursed God using foul language in front of others to try to prove that He didn’t exist. I said that if there really WERE a God, He would do something about me. Well, He did something about me, all right – He sent Jesus to shed His blood as payment for every awful thing I did because He loved me that much and wanted me to be able to be His son, not just His creation. If someone like that can be saved, so can you! What Jesus did was for everyone, which means that it was for you, too.

Another Important Step
God doesn’t want you to walk around forgiven but powerless. It is His explicit will that you walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. To do that, you need to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. This is a separate event from being born again. I present ironclad proof of that fact from Scripture in the article How to Be Baptized with the Holy Spirit. You go to heaven if you’re born again even if you never “receive the Holy Spirit,” but your life on earth will be far better if you are “endued with power from on high,” to use Jesus’ words. All four gospels identify Jesus as the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. You can ask Him to baptize you with the Holy Spirit at any time after you are born again. The ONLY requirement is that you must be born again first.

Then What?
I urge you to find a church that preaches that you must be born again, that you can be baptized with the Holy Spirit, and that you can be healed because of what Jesus already did for you. Those are far more important considerations than whether the church has a talented rock band, a light show that pulses with the music, special effects with the projected lyrics, sports venues and so on.
You will find that Jesus paid for everything you will ever need in this life and that the key is not begging God to do things for you but rather to receive what He’s already provided, including healing for your body and emotions. This book majors on the healing side of this, but you receive much more than healing when you are born again.

A Brief Introduction to Healing
In this book, you will learn that God considers sickness a curse and that it is part of the punishment for sin. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished in your place so that you could go free. He bore the penalty for sin Himself so that you would not have to spend eternity in hell, and also bore the curse of sickness and disease in your place to free you from having to suffer them in this life.
No matter who you are and no matter what your physical or emotional problem is, Jesus Christ has already made provision for your healing. You do not need to beg God to do something new for you. You can simply receive God’s gift of healing that Jesus made available to everyone.
The central message of this book is as old as the gospel itself. The good news about divine healing has always been in the Bible. If you take the time to read what the Bible says about your healing, you will realize that God is not only able, but also willing, to heal you right now. You will also realize that God offers you healing because He has already done something about your healing. You will then be able to pray in faith and receive this gift that Jesus paid for so that you can enjoy it in this life.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. The healings that He was famous for in the four gospels are just as much His will today. They always will be His will until the day that God finally creates a new sickness-free earth in which righteousness dwells.
This book starts out with some basic discussions of healing. By reading the first few discussions, you’ll get enough knowledge about healing to receive it for yourself. As you continue, you’ll discover something even more exciting – that God wants to use you as a conduit for healing for other people by the power of the Holy Spirit!
Another section is devoted to questions that get asked about healing and related topics (and a few mostly-unrelated topics that I felt like including while I was at it). Another section refutes popular objections to divine healing. If you’ve been taught the lie that you might have a sickness that is your “thorn in the flesh,” or that you might be have to be another Job, or that divine healing passed away with the (supposedly) last apostle, you’ll want to check out that section and learn the truth!
Another section lets you have a brief “chat” (NOT with a live person, just with the book itself) about where you stand with healing.
Another section lets you look up where certain conditions are found in Scripture. If you have one of these conditions, it’s good to see specifically what the Bible says about them and where in the Bible people got healed of them.
There are also lists of Scriptures about healing and related topics. This is important because the ONLY valid reason to believe something is that you see it in the Bible – not because I said so or someone else said so.
This book is completely FREE, just like divine healing. I wrote it to bless you. It’s not a “teaser” designed to get you to buy other products if you really want to know more. I don’t have a moral objection to free content that advertises paid content, which is a common business and ministry model today. I just didn’t want to do it that way.
