If Healing Does Not Manifest Quickly, Should We Demand that the DevII Release It?
No.
This question reflects the wrong mindset. The devil does not have your healing. YOU do. You WERE healed by Jesus’ stripes (1 Peter 2:24). Telling the devil to release your healing is buying into a lie that healing is not yours until he releases it. It actually plays into his hands for that reason. He might WISH that he could keep your healing away, but he doesn’t have that ability. However, if he convinces you that he is somehow holding your healing hostage, he can get you to defeat yourself.
Satan does not come to BLOCK your blessings; he comes to STEAL them. You can’t STEAL what someone doesn’t have. You HAVE healing as part of your covenant and Satan wants to steal it. It’s too late for him to do anything about it already belonging to you because Jesus took care of that.
I see no precedent in Scripture where a person’s healing was delayed and he had to demand his healing from the devil to get it. I stay away from things I can’t back with Scripture.
We have to be patient in an active sense if our healing has not yet manifested. Some people equate patience with passivity and resignation, but that is not biblical patience. We have to believe that God’s Word is true despite temporary contrary physical evidence. Jesus did not have to re-curse the fig tree when its demise was not immediately evident to the disciples on the outside. Nor did He have to demand that the devil stop blocking His words from coming to pass. The devil has no ability to stop the Word of God.
