Is It Wrong to Refer to Faith for Healing, Faith for Finances, And So On?

First, God Himself refers to faith for healing, so the idea can’t be all bad!

Acts 14:9:
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

If the point of the question is whether there is a different KIND of faith for healing than for finances or something else, the answer is no.  Faith is faith and you only use one “kind” of faith to take hold of any blessing.  Nothing in the Bible indicates that there are different “faiths” needed for different things.

However, you can apply your faith to different areas and some people are good at applying their faith to one area but not another simply because they know the Word better in one area.  If you know healing Scriptures but not prosperity Scriptures, you will be able to believe for healing but not for prosperity until you hear prosperity Scriptures.  This is the sense in which faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).  We all have faith in that we have the God-given capacity to believe (Romans 12:3), but that faith is idle until you know specific Scriptures to which you can attach your faith.

The man in Acts 14:7-10 had the ability to believe before Paul showed up, but he was unable to point his faith in the direction of healing until Paul preached “the gospel” (which includes healing) to him.  In fact, everyone else present that day also had faith that could have been used to receive healing.  So why does the Bible single out this one man as having faith to be healed?  Paul perceived that this man was in a position where he was ready to act on his faith and literally walk out his healing.

So no, there is no separate “faith” for healing and for finances, but you can be “in faith” (using your faith) for healing but not for finances.  If the question is about what you are “in faith” for, the answer is yes.

So it depends what you mean when you ask the question!
