Big Healing Book - Mark 3:10-12

Mark 3:10-12:

For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

Notes on Mark 3:10-12:

This shows that Jesus had the authority to make evil spirits shut up, and you now have that authority in Him. Jesus did not get into conversations with demons. Neither should you. Jesus’ two main statements to demons were “Be quiet!” and “Come out!” That is all you need to say to them. The demons had to obey Jesus’ words, and they must obey you when you exercise the authority you have in Him.

We can see again that it was compassion and not a desire for publicity that motivated Jesus. He actually tried NOT to be known in this passage!
