No Big Deal: When Impossibility Meets Omnipotence

Even if your condition is serious, rest assured that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not on an emergency conference call trying to figure out what to do about your special case.  God is omnipotent, so any condition you face is no big deal to Him.

From God’s perspective – infinite ability – it is no harder to heal a deaf ear than to heal a pimple.  It is no harder to heal autism than to heal a hangnail.  It is no harder to heal Down’s Syndrome than to heal a headache.  It is no harder to heal a blind eye than to heal a pulled muscle.

Consider that the day is coming when we will ALL get new bodies that will last forever without being subject to sickness or death.  God will do this for everyone in the same blink of an eye.

1 Corinthians 15:52-53:
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Philippians 3:21:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

If God can give you ALL new body parts in an instant and do the same for everyone else, don’t you suppose He could replace ONE body part that’s failing today?

My wife got a double lung transplant from the Lord.  Her lungs had deteriorated to the point where the doctors gave up hope that she could live; she had less than 20% use of them.  She has 100% use of her new lungs that the Lord gave her.  The doctors looked for scars because they “knew” she had gotten a double lung transplant.  She told them that her surgeon doesn’t leave scars.  They wanted to know who that surgeon was, and she told them, “Jesus.”  It was no big deal for Him.

We saw someone in one of our meetings get a new eardrum when her old one had been incomplete since birth.  It was no big deal for Jesus.

Nothing is a big deal for God.  We are the ones who make big deals about things, but we need to start having heaven’s perspective.

God created more galaxies than you will ever count, and each one has more stars in it than you will ever count.  Could not the God who did all that fix any problem in your body right now?

Mark 10:27:
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Mark 9:23:
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Luke 1:37:
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

God gave us the Scriptures so that we can share His perspective on things instead of the world’s perspective.  You need to look at your condition through His eyes rather than through the eyes of reason.  It will make it a lot easier for you to receive your healing.

Think Like God

We need to renew our minds to think the way God thinks (Romans 12:2), which is certainly not the way an unrenewed mind thinks by default.

Our unrenewed minds think:

“That is a really BAD disease, so it will be harder to heal than a MINOR disease.”

“That’s a birth defect, so it will require A LOT OF FAITH to heal it.”

“That is a serious condition, so we need to get LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE praying about it.”

We need to understand that God is almighty.  That means that He is omnipotent – He can do ANYTHING.  This all-powerful God dwells in you if you’re a believer.  We can perform miracles through the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of might (Isaiah 11:2).  This is why Jesus could say, “Nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).  The same all-powerful Holy Spirit who worked miracles through Jesus is now available to work miracles through you.

In any case, divine healing involves the supernatural intervention of an all-powerful God.  The question is, will we take God’s perspective on seemingly impossible-to-heal conditions?  We limit God if we take a natural perspective.  That might puzzle some people who figure that God is almighty and therefore unable to be limited, but Scripture makes it clear that the limiting factor is not what God can do but what we can believe (Mark 9:23).  Anything we can believe for, we can have.

God does become “more omnipotent” if you get thirty people praying about the same situation.  His almighty power does not increase if you develop faith in the area of healing.  You simply become more confident that you are able to access His infinite power.  You do not need huge faith to get a spectacular miracle.  You just need to exercise your faith to receive that miracle.  If you could move a tree into the ocean with mustard-seed-size faith, you can also make terminal cancer leave someone’s body with just a little bit of faith.  Don’t make the size of your faith the issue when the issue should be God’s unlimited ability that He made available to you by covenant.  This ability is more than enough to run terminal cancer out of your body or someone else’s body!  Man’s impossibility is canceled by God’s omnipotence when you believe and act on His Word.
