What Do You Do If a Demon Says It Won’t Come Out?

Nothing, if you’ve already commanded it to leave in the name of Jesus.  It HAS TO come out.  Ignore what the demon is saying and believe that Jesus told the truth when He said, “In my name they shall cast out demons” (Mark 16:17).  You have authority over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), including lying demons who say they’re not leaving!

The WORST thing you can do is strike up a conversation and get into an argument with a demon.  If you let it get away with that, it will try to have an unending chat with you.  Given that demons lie, that is a waste of your time.  Besides, getting into an argument proves to the demon that you didn’t really believe it when you said that it had to leave because you now think its leaving is subject to argument or negotiation or requires additional action on your part.  When you really believe what Jesus said, there is nothing to argue about – the demon has to go no matter what it says to the contrary!  Stand your ground and watch it leave.
